UNIVERSAL WORKS (NP)

Universal Works is a contemporary menswear brand founded in 2009 by David Keyte. The brand’s aim is to create honest, well-cut and thoughtfully designed clothes without overdoing it. Inspired by his upbringing in a working-class town in the Midlands, David was influenced by workwear, as well as the sporting and music culture of the 80s. After a career in fashion, including at Paul Smith and Maharishi, he founded Universal Works, which blends heritage with a modern aesthetic. The brand prioritises small-scale production and works with trusted factories in the UK and abroad. Today, Universal Works has a presence in cities from Los Angeles to Seoul, with stores in London and Nottingham, and another in Berlin.
